National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

If you’re wondering what to do about the first National Truth and Reconciliation Day, show your support by taking a moment of silence at 2:15 p.m on Thursday, September 30th. Wear an orange shirt and display an orange light in your window in an effort to show solidarity.

You can also set aside time to learn about #truthandreconciliation by:

*Reading the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action and know which ones apply to you: Truth and Reconciliation Commission: 94 calls to action https://bit.ly/3AUozEF

*Taking the University of Alberta’s free “Indigenous Canada” online course that explores Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada. https://bit.ly/3v4mbYu

*Wearing your orange shirt and learn more about the history behind Orange Shirt Day and the significance of Phyllis Webstad’s story as a residential school survivor. https://lnkd.in/stijk

That’s what G. Whiz is doing to show support for our indigenous friends and family.
