Project Profiles

A regional college with aging infrastructure. Our client contact is overwhelmed, busy, but clear about the needs of the organization. Our client with a head full of knowledge about the organization, the campus needs, and the information sources, is able to facilitate our meeting with key staff members and we help connect the dots by forecasting enrolment and assisting the architectural team to perform the facility needs assessment. We work with that team to create a 25-year asset management plan and build a funding plan for multi-billion dollars in operational and capital funding options, from federal, provincial, and special interest grants to loan programs, and fundraising ideas.
— Client Feedback:
Wow, you hit it out of the park!
Our client, Horse Racing Alberta, made a highly publicized call for an Expression of Interest to own, build and operate an “A” class Horse Race Facility in the Edmonton market area. This undertaking required an external Selection Committee with an impartial business advisor to adjudicate the Expression of Interest and ensuing Request for Proposal (RFP) submission process.
Through a thoughtful and thorough vetting of the many submissions, interviews with the qualifying proponents, and the crafting of a well-documented set of evaluation criteria, the selection committee presented a recommendation to the Board. The impact of the decision has contributed significant generational impact to the economic landscape in Alberta.
— Client Feedback:
Thorough and insightful interviewing, clear and well-documented decision making… persuasive presentation to the board…”!
